Freezing Damage

Ice storm damage.

Ice storms bring devastation to southern states that are not prepared for freezing weather. In many regions the urban areas  don't have snow or ice removal equipment to clear streets and bridges. The public is unfamiliar with the driving hazards poses by icy streets. Property damage from freezing can be extreme. Pipe insulation and the placement of pipes is not prepared to ward off deep freezing.

This photo shows the frozen water flow inside a garage. It became "a mini indoor skating rink."

Earlier this year, SERVPRO of Stockton's "storm team" traveled to ice storm events in Kentucky and Georgia. We have also handled freezing events closer to home in Napa and the Serra foothills. 

With climate change happening, we feel it is valuable for out crews to gain all sorts of experience in cleaning up weather related damage.
