The Stockton Health Empowerment Conference Goes Virtual for 2021
The 7th Annual Stockton Health Empowerment Conference (SHEC) at the UC Davis School of Medicine keeps attendees safe by hosting a virtual conference via Zoom on February 6, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. SHEC was formed by UC Davis medical students who wanted to increase the number of resources available for local junior college and high school students considering a career in medicine.
SHEC covers the following:
- How families can support children who wish to work in the medical field
- Setting goals, acquiring financial aid for schooling, and the importance of community service
- Educating community members about resources available to help them and their loved ones succeed
This conference is free, but registration is still required for this event. Tickets must be filled out for each attendee, including parents, teachers, students, and other Stockton community members.
