On January 23, 2021, Lincoln Village locals can partake in the Foothill Storytelling Guild’s Auburn Winter Storytelling Festival. This free event showcases professional storytellers and open storytelling by audience members. Stories run the gamut from children’s fairy tales to funny stories from daily life.
This event showcases the following storytellers:
- International Theatre storytelling veteran Cynthia Restivo
- Indigenous true life storyteller B.Z. Smith
- Traditional and Jewish heritage folk tale specialist Noa Baum
- California Gold Rush storyteller Eric Hurtt
- Family-friendly Asian folk tale specialist Linda Yemoto
During the past five years, this storytelling extravaganza was held at Auburn’s Gomez Event Center. This year’s festival takes place on Zoom to keep all participants safe while allowing for as many viewers as possible to discover the magic of storytelling.
