There are situations when mold becomes a serious problem in the indoor environment. When building materials become wetted and stay wet for extended periods of time, mold can begin to colonize and spread spores into the indoor environment. In this condo unit in downtown Stockton, mold began was growing inside a wall that was wet from a pin hole sized water pipe leak. The wood and the inside surface of the plaster remained wet causing mold to flourish.Then when the moisture worked it's way through the sheetrock, the facing of the walls began to grow mold. In no time the family was sneezing and feeling the effects of the mold. We contained the kitchen, performed controlled demolition and prepared the space for re-construction.
